"Replace ALL six AAA batteries, NOT just two or three batteries. Also check the installation of the batteries. The bottom set of the batteries the #+# POSITIVE ends should points toward the right, away from the cutter lever and the top set of the batteries the #+# POSITIVE ends should points toward the left, same side as the cutter lever.
