Why does the machine display "Battery"?

This message appears when the batteries in the machine are weak; they will soon need to be replaced. You can continue using the machine by pressing the BS key or any key to clear the message. This is just a warning, if you have a big project (printing many labels), you should have a set of batteries for standby. The print quality will gradually deteriorate; parts of the character will be light and the lines of a frame around the text will be broken up. If the machine turns off by itself after pressing the Print key, then the batteries need to be replaced. Replace ALL four AAA batteries, NOT just two or three batteries. The bottom two batteries the + POSITIVE ends should points toward the top edge of the machine and the top two batteries the + POSITIVE ends should points toward the bottom edge of the machine.
