Can my Brother machine print a report to verify a fax I sent was received?

Description of Solution 200000004176

Your Brother machine is equipped with a Transmission Verification Report that can be used as confirmation that you sent a fax.  This report lists the name or fax number of the receiving party; the date, time, and duration of the transmission; the number of pages transmitted; and whether or not the transmission was successful.

There are two settings available for the Transmission Verification Report:

- ON: the Transmission Verification Report prints after every fax you send.

- OFF: the Transmission Verification Report prints if your fax is unsuccessful due to a transmission error.  This is the default setting.

To program the Transmission Verification Report, follow these steps:

1. Press MENU/SET, 7 (Setup Reports), 1 (Transmission).

2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select On or Off.

3. Press the MENU/SET key.

4. Press the STOP/EXIT key.

NOTE:

- If your transmission is successful, "OK" will appear next to Result on the Transmission Verification Report.

- If your transmission is not successful, "NG" will appear next to Result on the Transmission Verification Report.

PRINTING A TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION REPORT FOR YOUR LAST TRANSMISSION

You can print the Transmission Verification Report for your last transmission by following these steps:

1. Make sure there are no documents in the Brother machine's Automatic Document Feeder (ADF).

2. Press REPORTS, 4 (Transmission).
