How do I cancel a pending print job in Windows?

Description of Solution 200000005494

If a print job was sent to the queue and didn't print or was sent to the print queue in error, it may need to be deleted to allow subsequent jobs to print.

To cancel print jobs in the queue perform the following steps:

1. Open the Printer Folder.

NOTE: For instructions refer to: How do I open the Printers folder in Windows?

2. Open the print queue:

-      Windows XP, Server 2003, Vista or Server 2008:  Double click on your model machine.  The Brother machine's Printer Properties window will appear.

-      Windows 7, 8, 8.1, Server 2008 R2 or Server 2012 Users: Right-click on the Brother "Printer Driver" and select See What's Printing.

3.  Cancel the Print Job

-       To cancel all documents click Printer => Cancel All Documents (or Purge Print Documents).

-       To cancel only selected print jobs, click on the specific job to highlight it.  Then click Document => Cancel.

4.  Press Yes.  This should clear the queue.

NOTE:  You may have to make several attempts to completely clear the print queue.  If the print jobs still remain in the queue after several attempts, restart the computer.
