Why does the display still show "CHANGE DRUM SOON" after I replaced the drum?Description of Solution 200000006138
This message would continue to appear if the drum counter was not reset when you replaced the drum. To reset the drum follow the instructions listed below
1.Open the front cover.
2.Press the options key on the control panel. The display will show #REPLACE DRUM - 1.YES 2.NO#.
3.Press 1 to reset the drum count.
4.Close the front cover.
NOTE: Brother strongly recommends that customers do not use generic drumunits and/or toner cartridges, or refill their Brother toner cartridge. Each Brother laser printer is designed to work at pre-set temperatures that are matched exactly to each of our individual toner formulations. Each individual component is designed to work with the other to ensure quality and reliability. Using non-Brother supplies may affect the hardware performance, print quality and machine reliability. The Brotherlimited warranty does not apply to any problem that is caused by the useof unauthorized third party drum units, toner cartridges or toner.

If you are out of warranty, you need to contact a Brother Authorized Service Center using the information listed above.
