How do I change the character font size?

Description of Solution 200000007791

1. Press the Fn function key.

2. Press the LEFT OR RIGHT ARROW key until Size is displayed.

3. Press the OK key; the current size setting will be on the display.

4. Press the LEFT OR RIGHT ARROW key until the desire size (Large, Medium, Small, or MAX) is displayed.

5. Press the OK key to apply the selected size.

Note: There are four character size settings, Large, Medium, Small and MAX. The character size MAX can only be use with a 3/4-inch tape, all the text must be in upper case, and the Style has to be set for Normal, no Underline or Frame. Besides the setting of the machine, the physical character size printed on the label also varies with the tape width.  There are five tape width sizes that can be use with this machine, 3/4 -inch, 1/2-inch, 3/8-inch, 1/4-inch and 9/64-inch. Each tape width (except for the 3/4-inch and 9/64-inch) has its own set of Large, Medium, and Small character sizes. The character size Medium printed on a 1/2-inch tape is different from a 3/8-inch tape, even though the same character size is set for both tapes.  The Large, Medium, and Small character sizes of the 3/4-inch tape is same as the 1/2-inch tape.  The character size setting has no affects on the 9/64-inch tape; the machine will automatically prints the largest character size that will fit the 9/64-inch tape.

6. If the font size does not change, try resetting the machine.

          a. Turn off the machine.

          b. Hold down the Shift and R keys.

          c. While holding down the Shift and R keys, press the On/Off key once.

          e. Release the Shift and R keys.

Note: The text and formats in the display are erased. Also, the language and unit settings will be cleared.
