the line appearing on the faxes you send and/or copies you make is a thin
vertical line or a wide (over an inch) vertical line?
the line is thin continue to STEP
the line is wide (over an inch) refer to solution: "When
I make copies or send faxes the copy or the received fax has a wide vertical
black line or is completely black. What can I do?"
1. Unplug the telephone line and then the power cord. Be sure
to do it in that order.
2. Lift up the Control Panel (the panel with the keypad) from the
front. It will open approximately 3 inches wide.

control panel and then press the COPY key.

cleaning procedure (STEP 2).
sure to unplug the telephone line and then the power cord.
may have to repeat the cleaning process 3 or 4 times to eliminate all dirt or
debris on the glass.
each cleaning, be sure to plug in the power cord followed by the telephone line
and then make a copy to test.
