Description of Problem 100000013232
My Brother machine has no power. What can I do?Description of Solution 200000017016
To resolve this issue follow the steps listed below:
1. Verify the power cord is connected to the AC power outlet. If the power cord is not connected plug the cord directly into a known working outlet.
2. If the power cord is connected to a surge protector or power switch, remove the cord from that device and connect it directly to the outlet. Removing this device assists in determining if the problem (No power) isrelated to the device or the Brother machine.
Note: To protect your investment against power surges and lightning, Brother strongly recommends that you connect your machine to a surge protector. In particular we suggest that you use a surge protector that is compatible with both standard A.C. power cords and telephone line cords. Surge protectors equipped with telephone jacks will assist in insulating your machine from any power surge that might travel through atelephone line.
3.If the display still remains blank, test the outlet with another device (a working lamp, radio etc.). If that device does not work, the problem is related to the outlet or circuit. You may also need to check for blown circuit. If a wall switch controls the outlet verify the switch is in the ON position. If the display is still blank, try a different KNOWN working electrical outlet at your location.
If the display is still blank after connecting to a known working electrical outlet and your machine is within warranty, you can locate a Brother Authorized Service Center (ASC) in your area using one of the following:
