Description of Solution 200000017774

1. If you have not already connected the machine to your network, you will need to do so using the initial network setup instructions from the Quick Setup Guide before attempting to add the printer driver.

2. On the Macintosh, select Apple => System Preferences.

3. Click the Print & Fax or Print & Scan icon under Hardware.

4. Click the + (plus) button located below the Printers section on the left side.

5. Click the Default icon which is located at the top of the window.

6. Select your machine from the Printer Name list.

-         For the CUPS Driver: Make sure that XXXXXXX CUPS is selected in the Print Using list. (Where XXXXXXX is the printer model name.)

-         For PostScript Driver (not available for all models):  Make sure that XXXXXXX BR-Script is selected in the Print Using list. (Where XXXXXXX is the printer model name.)

7. Click Add. The Brother machine is now available in the Print & Fax list.

8. Select Quit System Preferences from the Apple Menu. The setup is now complete.
