What is the shelf life of my Brother machine's drum unit and toner cartridge?

Brother strongly recommends that customers use only genuine Brother drum units and/or toner cartridges. Each Brother laser printer is designed to work at pre-set temperatures that are matched exactly to each of ourindividual toner formulations. Each individual component is designed to work with the other to ensure quality and reliability. Using non-Brother supplies may affect the hardware performance, print qualityand machine reliability. The Brother limited warranty does not apply to any problem that is caused by the use of third party drum units, toner cartridges or toner.

Please review the information listed below in reference to the shelf life of all Brother Drum Units and Toner Cartridges:

Drum Unit: 2 years, or 6 months after its protective bag is unsealed.

Toner Cartridge: 2 years, or 6 months after its protective bag is unsealed.

This shelf life is guaranteed under the following conditions:

Temperature: 32 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit (0 to 40 degrees Celsius).

Humidity: 35 - 85%.

If the drum unit or toner cartridge is exposed to temperatures ranging from 104 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit (40 to 50 degrees Celsius), its shelf life is reduced to up to 5 consecutive days.

If the drum unit or toner cartridge is exposed to temperatures ranging from -4 to 32 degrees Fahrenheit (-20 to 0 degrees Celsius), its shelf life is reduced to up to 5 consecutive days.

If the drum unit or toner cartridge is exposed to humidity ranging from 85 to 95%, its shelf life is reduced to up to 5 consecutive days.

If the drum unit or toner cartridge is exposed to humidity ranging from 10 to 35%, its shelf life is reduced to up to 5 consecutive days.
