How do I clear the message Pls Clean Drum from the display?

Description of Solution 200000020585

Dust or toner on the corona wire or drum contacts may cause this error message to appear on the display. To clean the corona wire and drum contacts follow the steps below:

1. Open the front cover and remove the drum and toner assembly.

NOTE: We recommend the customer places the toner and drum assembly on a piece of paper in case they accidentally spill or scatter toner.

2. Clean the contacts on the right side of the drum unit with a soft, dry cloth.

3. Clean the primary corona wire inside the drum unit by gently sliding the blue tab on the top of the cartridge from right to left several times. Return the blue tab to the home position before reinstalling the drum unit assembly. If you do not, printed pages may have a vertical stripe.

4. Reset the drum unit in the Brother machine. Close the cover securely.

If the issue continues, the drum unit (DR400) will need to be replaced.

If the drum unit has already been replaced and the same issue continues, refer to Warranty and Service Options.
