Description of Solution 200000023134

Letter or legal size plain or recycled paper that has a weight of 16 - 28 lbs. may be used for automatic duplex printing. If using paper that is not letter or legal size, you must follow the directions for manual duplex printing.

To Automatic Duplex Print:

1. In any application, click File and Print.

2. Click on the drop menu (normally Copies & Pages by default) and click on Layout.

NOTE for Mac OS 10.5: If Printer and Presets are the only options on the Print window, click the blue down arrow to the right of the printer name, this will expand the Print window. In some programs, Copies & Pages may not be listed, you will need to click the name of the Program near the middle of the window.

NOTE: Some programs have a different Print window and Copies & Pages may not be listed. You may need to click on another button or tab before accessing Copies & Pages. For example, in the program In Design you must click the Printer button at the bottom of the Print window to access the window that displays Copies & Pages.

3. To enable Duplex printing, click on the appropriate binding next to Two-Sided Printing.

To disable Duplex printing, select OFF.

4. Click Print.

To Manual Duplex Print:

NOTE: The BR-Script3 printer driver (PostScript3 emulation) does not support manual duplex printing.

1. In any application, click File and Print.

2. Click on the drop menu (normally Copies & Pages by default) and click on Paper Handling.

NOTE for Mac OS 10.5: If Printer and Presets are the only options on the Print window, click the blue down arrow to the right of the printer name, this will expand the Print window. In some programs, Copies & Pages may not be listed, you will need to click the name of the Program near the middle of the window.

For example, in the program In Design you must click the Printer button at the bottom of the Print window to access the window that displays Copies & Pages.

3. Mac OS 10.5: Next to Pages To Print select "Odd Only".

Mac OS 10.3.9 and 10.4: Next to Print All or Print select "Odd Numbered Pages".

4. Click the Print button.

5. After the machine has printed, take the printed pages from the paper eject tray and place them back in the paper tray, printed side up, top of the sheet facing you.

6. In the program click File and Print again.
