The machine does not turn on (no power) when using an AC adapter. How can I correct this?

1. Check that the AC power adapter connector is connected to the side of the printer and the power cord is securely plugged into the AC adapter.

 

2. The recommend adapter for this printer is the AD9000 or AD9100.   Ensure the label on the adapter indicates that it is an AD9000 or AD9100 with an Output of 24V 2.5 Amp. Using a wrong adapter can DAMAGE the machine internally and void the warranty.

 

3. Try plugging the power cord to another electrical outlet.  If possible test the electrical outlet with another electrical device.

 

If the problem persists, your machine may require service.    

 

The machine has 90 days / one year limited warranty and replacement service. If the machine is in warranty, call Brother Customer Service at 1-877-Brother (1-877-276-8437) for warranty options.
