The status indicator light does not come on, what should I do?

Description of Solution 200000024961

1. The battery may be discharged. Please plug the AC adaptor into the printer and a good working AC power outlet. If the Charge indicator light does not come on the printer the AC adaptor may need replacement. Please call the sales representative where they were purchased or call Brother Customer Support.

2. If the battery has been previously charged and the AC adaptor was left plugged into the printer and the power outlet the batter may have become discharged. Please disconnect and reconnect the AC adaptor. If the Charge indicator light does not come on the printer the AC adaptor may need replacement. Please call the sales representative where they were purchased or call Brother Customer Support. Please note that the AC adaptor when plugged into the printer will perform one battery charge cycle and the charging system is not designed to trickle charge the battery therefore, it is recommended that the AC adaptor be unplugged after the batter charge cycle is complete.

3. The AC adaptor is not capable of charging the battery and powering the printer at the same time. If the battery is sufficiently discharged and the printer is turned on during a charge cycle the status and charge light may go out. To recover from this condition unplug the AC adaptor from the printer, insure the printer is off, and reinsert the AC adaptor's plug into the printer. Please note, it is not recommended that the print be used during a battery charge cycle.
