What does it mean when my PocketJet printer will not power on through the AC adapter or battery?

NOTE: Verify that there is power to the adapter you are using, by unplugging a working device from the power source and plugging the adaptor into the outlet the working device was plugged into.

 

You may have a malfunctioning battery, AC adapter or printer.  Disconnect the battery from the printer and connect the AC adaptor to the printer and press the power button on the printer. 

 

A. If the printer turns on, turn the printer off and disconnect the AC adaptor. Connect the battery to the printer, connected the AC adaptor and turn the printer on. 

 

1. If the printer does not turn on the battery maybe defective try a known good battery.  If the printer turns on with a known good battery the original battery is defective.

 

2. If the printer turns on then put the printer into the battery charge cycle.  If the charge cycle does not complete successfully the battery maybe defective try a known good battery. 

 

a. If the charge cycle completes successfully with the known good battery, the original battery is defective.

 

b. If the charge cycle does not complete successfully with the known good battery, the printer is defective

 

B. If the printer does not turn on, the AC adaptor maybe defective try a known good AC adaptor.

 

1. If the printer turns on using a know good AC adaptor, the original AC adaptor is defective

 

2. If the printer does not turn on using a know good AC adaptor, the printer is defective

 

The machine has a one year limited depot warranty. If the machine requires service, call Brother Mobile Solutions Customer Service at 1-800-543-6144 Monday through Friday, excluding holidays for a Return Authorization number.
