Why is the machine not feeding the tape out?

1. Turn OFF the printer.

 

2. Open the tape compartment cover and remove the cassette tape from the printer. Check that the cassette tape is not empty; there should be no vertical stripes (bars or lines) on the ribbon.  If there are, replace the cassette tape with a new one.

 

3. Check the area by the two black rollers and the tape exit area, remove any pieces of label or foreign objects that may be stuck inside the machine.

 

4. Check the rating of the adapter; the label on the adapter should list the model as the AD9100ES with an OUTPUT of 24VDC 2.5 Amp.  Using a wrong adapter can DAMAGE the machine internally and void the warranty.

 

5. Try another cassette tape. 

 

If the problem persists, your machine may require service.  

 

The machine has a two year limited depot warranty. If the machine requires service, call Brother Mobile Solutions Customer Service at 1-800-255-0415 Monday through Friday, excluding holidays for a Return Authorization number._
