I can no longer print to my network Ptouch/Label printer. How do I correct this problem?

If you are suddenly having a problem printing to the Ptouch/Label machine through the Peer to Peer network.  Please perform the steps below:

 

  1. Click Start icon => All Programs => Brother => BrAdmin Light => BrAdmin Light

Note: If you do not have BrAdmin Light, please download and install this program from the link below: http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/bsc/public/us/us/en/dlf/download_index.html?reg=us&c=us&lang=en&prod=ql1060neus&type2=2&os=all&flang=all&dlid=dlfp001334

 

2. Your PTouch/Label printer should be listed in the BrAdmin Light window. If it?s not listed there. Click Search button to find it.  If it?s still not listed in the BrAdmin Light window.  Please check to ensure the Ptouch/Label network adaptor (RJ45 connector) is connected directly to the network HUB with power on and solid Green light (no red light or flashing).  Proceed to step 3 below if the Ptouch/label machine is listed in the BrAdmin Light Window.

 

For Windows XP/2000/2003:

  1. Click Start => Control Panel => Printers and Faxes
  2. Right click on the Ptouch/Label machine and then select Properties, click Port tab
  3. You will see the network port BRN###### (under the Port field), click Configure Port, and under the Printer Name or IP Address, please change the value in this field to the IP address that you?ve found from the BrAdmin Light program above.  Click OK, OK, and then Close to save and exit the program.

 

For Windows Vista:

  1. Click Start => Control Panel => Printers (under Hardware and Sound)
  2. Right click on the Ptouch/Label machine, select Run as Administrator => Properties => Continue => Port tab
  3. You will see the network port BRN###### (under the Port field), click Configure Port, and under the Printer Name or IP Address, please change the value in this field to the IP address that you?ve found from the BrAdmin Light program above.  Click OK, OK, and then Close to save and exit the program.

 

For Windows 7/2008:

  1. Click Start => Control Panel => View Devices and Printers (under Hardware and Sound)
  2. Right click on the Ptouch/Label machine, select Printer Properties, click Port tab
  3. You will see the network port BRN###### (under the Port field), click Configure Port, and under the Printer Name or IP Address, please change the value in this field to the IP address that you?ve found from the BrAdmin Light program above.  Click OK, OK, and then Close to save and exit the program.

 

Note: If you do not see the BRN port available on step 5 above.  Please click on the link below to download and install the driver (select Peer to Peer option) for your Ptouch/label machine.
