Brother strongly recommends that customers use only genuine Brother drum units
and toner cartridges. Each Brother laser printer is designed to operate at
pre-set thermal and mechanical conditions that are matched specifically to each
of our individual toner formulations. Each individual component is
designed to work with the other to ensure quality and reliability. Using
non-Brother supplies may affect the hardware performance, print quality and
machine reliability. The Brother limited warranty does not apply to any problem
that is caused by the use of third-party drum units, toner cartridges or
the pages you print are completely blank refer to the solution - "My

Clean the drum unit corona wire and laser glass window by following the
instructions listed below:
Open the front cover.
Lift the drum unit slightly and pull it out toward you.

Clean the corona wire inside the drum unit by gently sliding the blue tab
located at the top of the drum unit, from left to right several times.

With the drum removed from the machine, clean the laser glass with a DRY
