The machine does not turn on (no power) when using batteries, how can I correct this?

Description of Solution 200000028636

1. If the machine is new just out the box, please remove the protective film on the display.  The film blocks the view, may cause difficulty to distinguish if the machine is ON or OFF.

2. After pressing the On/Off key, press couple of the letter keys, check if the character shows on the display.

3. Check the installation of the batteries.  Remove the batteries cover and compare the positioning of the + POSITIVE end of the batteries to the pictures above the batteries compartment.  The top two batteries the + positive end should point towards the right. The middle two, the + positive end should point towards the left, and the bottom two should point towards the right.

4. Remove all six “AA” batteries and reinstall them again; check if the machine turns on.

5. Replace ALL six "AA" batteries with all new alkaline batteries, NOT just two or three batteries.

If the problem persists, your machine may require service.
