1. Look at the LCD and
read all the lines of the message currently on the display. Be sure to
read the entire scrolling message. (Ex: Replace Toner. Open the front cover, replace
toner cartridge. Black (K))
Confirm the color
toner cartridge indicated on the LCD is the same color as the toner cartridge
that was replaced. It is possible that after the replacement toner
cartridge was installed, a new message appeared for a different color toner and
another color now needs to be replaced.
2. Verify you
installed a NEW, out of the box toner cartridge (TN310 or TN315) from a sealed

reset the toner status. You should NOT install a previously used cartridge
that was already installed into another machine or a TN starter toner cartridge

3. Verify the drum

in until it clicks into place and close the front cover.

Toner status no longer appears, the issue is resolved.
