Description of Problem 100000023784

Why are web pages not printing as they appear on the screen?

Description of Solution 200000030367

Web pages often times do not display pages correctly for printing.  They are generally formatted for a computer display and not a printer.  Many times there is a link on the page for a "printer-friendly" version or a printer icon within the web page itself that should be used if you want to print.

If there is no printer-friendly version, one of the following methods may help resolve page display problems when printing.

METHOD 1: ADJUSTING THE PRINTER DRIVER SETTINGS

1.  Open the Printers folder.

Windows 8:

- Move your mouse to the lower left corner of the Desktop or Start screen. Right-click the screen and then left-click Control Panel => Hardware and Sound => View Devices and Printers

Windows 7 or Server 2008 R2:

- Click Start => Device and Printers.

- Click Start => Control Panel => Hardware and Sound => Devices and Printers

Windows Vista or Server 2008:

-  Click Start => Control Panel => Hardware and Sound => Printers.

Windows XP or Server 2003:

- Click Start => Printers and Faxes.

- Click Start => (Settings) => Control Panel => Printers (and Faxes)

- Click Start => Control Panel => Printers and Other Hardware => View Installed Printers

Windows 2000: Start => Settings => Printers.

2. Right mouse click on the Brother machine and left click PRINTING PREFERENCES.

3. Click on the ADVANCED tab.

4. Under SCALING, select FIT TO PAPER SIZE.

NOTE: Letter is chosen for paper size by default.  Select paper size accordingly.

5. Click Apply, OK.

6. Try printing.
