The message "Toner Low" continues to appear after I

1. Verify you installed a new, out of the box toner
cartridge (TN420 or TN450).
When replacing the toner cartridge, you should install
a brand new, out of the box toner cartridge in order to reset the toner
status. You should not install a previously used cartridge that was
already installed into another machine or a TN starter cartridge that comes with

lever that moves when installed into the machine. The movement of the
lever mechanically triggers the machine to reset the toner status. If a
used cartridge or a TN starter cartridge is installed into a machine, it will

genuine Brother drum units and/or toner cartridges. Each Brother laser
printer is designed to operate at pre-set temperatures that are matched exactly

3. Verify the drum unit and toner cartridge are installed

assembly. Be sure to place the drum and toner assembly on a piece of paper
