Why am I unable to cut off the label?

1. Ensure that the back cover is latched onto the machine and close completely.  The cutter will not work if it is not completely closed.

2. Remove the back cover and cassette tape from machine.

3. Examine where the tape exits the machine.  Remove any tape or other object that may jam the cutter.

4. Reinstall the cassette tape and back cover.  Ensure that the back cover is latched onto the machine and close completely.

5. Press down on the cutter lever and see if it cuts.

If the problem persists, your machine may require service.

The machine has a two year limited exchange warranty. If the machine is in warranty, call Brother Customer Service at 1-877-Brother (1-877-276-8437) for warranty options.
