How do I add the printer driver for Macintosh OS X 10.7 and 10.8 using a local or network connection?

1.    Click on the Apple icon.

 

2.    Click the System Prefrences icon

 

3.    Click Print&Scan

 

4.    Click the + to add the printer driver.

 

 

 

 

5.    Click the Default icon which is located at the top of the window.

 

 

 

6. Select your machine from the Printer Name list.

 

7. For the CUPS Driver:

Make sure that XXXXXXX CUPS is selected in the Print Using list. (Where XXXXXXX is the printer model name.)

 

For PostScript Driver (not available for all models):

Make sure that XXXXXXX BR-Script is selected in the Print Using list. (Where XXXXXXX is the printer model name.)

 

8. Click Add. The Brother machine is now available in the Print &Fax list.

 

9. Select Quit System Preferences from the Apple Menu. The setup is now complete
