1.  Confirm the paper tray you are using:

2.  Check the scrolling message at the bottom of the LCD. This will specify which tray is experiencing the issue: Tray 1, Tray 2, or MP Tray.

-  If the specified tray is the tray you are trying to use, continue to STEP 3.

-  If the specified tray is NOT the tray you are trying to use and you are printing a document from a computer, the paper source setting will need to be changed within the settings of the application being used.  For assistance with this, refer to solution: When I try to print from Microsoft Word or another program, I receive a message stating: Manual Feed Load Paper, No Paper, Reload paper in MP Tray, or Insert Paper Manual Feed. What can I do?

3.  Verify there is paper in the tray that you are trying to print from:

-  If paper is loaded in the tray, go to STEP 5.

-  If there is no paper in the tray, load the paper by following the instructions listed below:

a.  Make sure the paper-guides are set to the correct paper size. The guides should only hold the paper in place without actually applying pressure.

b. Inspect and see if the green plastic paper guide in the rear of the paper tray is damaged, removed, or missing.

- If yes, this is a likely cause of your issue.  Proceed to the following solution:  The green plastic guide in the rear of my paper tray is damaged, removed or is missing. What do I do?

- If no, proceed to STEP 3c.

c.  Fan the paper well to avoid paper jams or misfeeding and then load the paper in the tray.

d.  Do not overfill the tray.

e.  The maximum paper levels of Tray 1 and Tray 2 are marked on the right paper-guide with a red line with three arrows pointing at it.

f.  The maximum paper level of the MP Tray is marked on the left and right paper-guides with a line with an arrow pointing at it.

g.  If the specific tray is Tray 1 or Tray 2, install the paper tray firmly back into the machine.

4.  Confirm if the message continues to appear.

-    If the message no longer appears, the issue is resolved.

-    If the specified tray is the MP Tray and "No Paper" continues to appear, go to WARRANTY AND SERVICE OPTIONS.

-    If the specified tray is Tray 1 or Tray 2 and "No Paper" continues to appear, continue to STEP 5.

5.  Remove the paper tray from the machine and verify the paper-guides are set to the correct positions marked on the tray for the paper size being loaded. The guides should only hold the paper in place without actually applying pressure.
