1. If the machine
is new just out the box, please remove the protective film from the
display. The film blocks the view, causing difficulty in distinguishing if
the machine is ON
the display appears to be foggy or there are bubbles, the protective film has
not been removed.
2. After pressing
the On/Off key, press couple of the letter keys and check if the characters
show on the display.
3. Open the back
cover and remove all the batteries from the machine.
4. Examine the
battery terminals to see if there are any abnormalities. They should
bright metallic in appearance and look the same next to each other.
5. Insert the first
three batteries (bottom set) with their �+� POSITIVE ends pointing toward
the right edge of the machine (away from the cutter lever). Next, insert
the last three
batteries (top set) with their "+" POSITIVE ends pointing toward the left
edge of the

cover and press the On/Off button (Red button). If the machine
does not turn ON, replace ALL six "AAA" batteries with all new alkaline
