How do I find the Wireless Authentication and Security Information (e.g. SSID, Network key etc.) for Windows OS?

These steps may help you locate your wireless security settings if your Computer (PC) is connected to your network using a wireless connection. If your Computer (PC) is connected to the network with an Ethernet cable, you will need to contact your router manufacturer or network admin to determine your wireless network's security settings.

Please perform the following steps (red box) to obtain your Wireless Authentication and Security Information (SSID):

1. Double click on the Wireless icon normally locates in the icon tray on the bottom right corner.


2. For this example setup, the SSID is BrotherLF-N


3. Right click on BrotherLF-N and then select Properties


4. Under Security tab, click checkbox on Show characters to get/display the Network Security Key
