You can scan and save a document in PDF format to a preferred folder using ControlCenter4. Click the link below for the ControlCenter4 user interface you are using to see more details.

Home Mode

 

1. Load your document.

 

2. Click the Scan tab.

 

3. Choose the Document Type and Scan Size.

 

4. Click Scan.

 

 

5. The scanned image will be displayed in the image viewer. Confirm and edit (if necessary) the scanned image.

 

6. Click Save.

 

 

7. The Save dialog will appear. Choose PDF (*.pdf) in File Type. Set the file name and the destination folder, and click OK.

 

 

NOTE: If you set the file type to PDF or Secure PDF, you can configure the File size.

 

 

 

Advanced Mode

 

-      Configure the Scan to File feature

-      Use the Scan to File feature from the ControlCenter

 


STEP A: Configure the Scan to File feature

 

1.    Click the Scan tab and right-click the File button. Then, choose Button settings.

 

 

2.    The settings window for Scan to File will appear. Choose PDF (*.pdf) in File Type.

 

3.    Configure the settings and click OK. For example, you can set the prefix text used for the file name of the scanned data in the File Name box. You can also set the folder to save the scanned data in the Destination Folder box.

 


STEP B: Use the Scan to File feature from the ControlCenter

 

1.    Load your document.

 

2.    Click the Scan tab. If you want to change the scan settings, please refer to "STEP A: Configure the Scan to File feature".

 

3.    Click File. The image will be saved in the folder you have chosen in the settings window for Scan to File.
