Why does the machine display "CHECK THE NUMBER OF LINES! 2 MAX"?

Description of Solution 200000041497

This error message appears if you are attempting to print more than two lines on a 0.23 inch (6 mm) tape or 0.35 inch (9 mm) tape.  These tapes can only hold maximum of two lines, install a wider tape if you wish to print more than two lines.

If you are using 0.47 inch (12 mm) or larger and still getting the error message, open the tape compartment cover and remove the tape cassette from the machine.  There are six sensors in the tape compartment to detect the cassette tape installed in the machine.  They all have a spring inside pushing it upward.  Visually check if any sensor stuck in the down position or physically damaged.  Re-install it back into the tape compartment.  Push down on top of the cassette; ensure that it is seated firmly in the tape compartment and close the cover.  Try printing a label; if message appears, try another cassette tape.

If the problem persists, your machine may require service.
