Clean and calibrate your scanner, you may refer to "How do I calibrate my scanner?"

 

Remove the driver and software, you may refer to "How do I uninstall the Brother scanner's driver in Windows Operating System?"  or "How do I uninstall the Brother scanner's driver in MACintosh 10.4 or greater?"

 

Reinstall the software and driver, you may refer to "How do I download and install the driver from the Website for Windows OS?"  or "How do I download and install (graphical steps) the MACintosh driver for DS scanner?"

 

Should the issue persist call Brother Customer Service at 1-877-276-8437 Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
