Description of Solution 200000043586
  1. Unplug the Brother machine from the electrical outlet, wait 30 seconds and then plug it back in.

  1. Lift up the Control Panel (the panel with the keypad) from the front. It will open approximately 3 inches wide. A white roller, approximately nine inches long, is located in the front of the machine. The scanner glass strip is located directly below the roller. Inspect this area and remove any foreign objects or debris.

  1. Inspect the scanner glass for correction fluid or other substance. If found, clean the scanner glass with a soft lint free cloth and isopropyl alcohol.

  2. Once the area is clear of any foreign objects or debris close the Control Panel.

  1. Test the machine by making a copy of a blank sheet of white paper. To make a copy, place a blank sheet of white paper in the ADF (automatic document feeder) located behind the control panel and then press the COPY key twice.

-         If the copy comes out blank, the issue is resolved.
