When I make copies or send faxes the copy or the received fax has a wide
vertical black line or is completely black. What can I do?

- Unplug the
Brother machine from the electrical outlet, wait 30 seconds and then plug it
- Lift up the
Control Panel (the panel with the keypad) from the front. It will open
approximately 3 inches wide. A white roller, approximately nine inches long,
