How do I scan to PDF in Control Center 4?

Open the Control Center 4 Application.

You can click on the desktop icon or open the application from the All Programs (Programs) menu after clicking on the Start button.

Depending on the mode you have selected you will see one of two screens.

Depending on which mode you have selected, please follow the appropriate instructions.

Scanning in Advanced Mode

Choose Device Settings.

Choose Device Scan Settings

When the configuration tab opens choose the FILE tab

 

On the file type you will see a dropdown in the top left corner titled File Type.  The default is PDF. 

On the file type you will see a dropdown in the left corner titled File Type.  The default is PDF. 

Note:  You may also change the file type in the Image Tab as well.

Change any other setting you feel that are needed and click OK.

 

Choose the SCAN tab from the main menu.

Click on the FILE button.

The document will scan to your specified location in the settings menu above and be saved as a PDF file.

 

Note:  If you prefer, and have configured the Image tab to scan to file type PDF then you may click the Image button instead. 

The scan will be initiated and displayed on the screen.

 

 

 

 

Scanning in Home Mode

Choose the Device Settings tab on the main menu.

 

Choose Device Scan Settings from the menu.

 

 

The Setting page will open.  Choose the File tab.

On the file type you will see a dropdown in the left corner titled File Type.  The default is PDF. 

Note:  You may also change the file type in the Image Tab as well.

Change any other setting you feel that are needed and click OK.

 

Choose the SCAN tab from the menu.

 

Make any final setting changes you may need and click the Scan button in the bottom left pane.

The scan will be initiated and displayed on screen.
