How do I clear the message "Drum Error, Slide Green Tab"?

Description of Solution 200000044670

The message "Drum Error, Slide the Green Tab on the Drum Unit" will appear when the corona wire on the drum unit needs to be cleaned.

1.    Clean the corona wire inside the drum unit for all four colors.

a.    Fully open the top cover by lifting up on the handle (1).

b.    Remove all four drum unit and toner cartridge assemblies.  Be sure to place the assemblies on a clean flat surface with a piece of disposable paper underneath in case of spilled or scattered toner.

c.    On each assembly, locate the green tab on the top, left side.  Clean the primary corona wire inside the drum unit by gently sliding the green tab from right to left and left to right several times.  Be sure to return the green tab to the home position (1).  If you do not return the green tab to the home position, this could result in a vertical stripe on printed pages.

NOTE: Perform this step for all four drum/toner assemblies.

d.    Reinstall the drum unit and toner cartridge assemblies by sliding each one back into the machine.  Be sure to match the toner cartridge color to the same color label on the machine.

e.    Close the top cover of the machine.
