The printer powers off and on by itself; how can I correct this?

To isolate this problem, check the following:

1.    Plug the adapter directly into a wall outlet. 

a.    Do not plug the adapter into a UPS

2.    Is a Brother AC adapter being used to charge the battery?

a.    If using a different adapter the output could be incorrect for charging the battery.   Use a Brother AC adapter for further testing.

3.    When using a Brother Car adapter to charge the battery, the unit must be powered for 360 minutes to fully charge the battery.

4.    If possible connect the power adapter from a different printer or connect this adapter to a different printer. 

a.    If the printer operates correctly using a different adapter then the adapter may be failing and need to be replaced.
