This is a very uncommon complaint with our printers and may not be caused by the printer. 

To isolate the problem, perform the following tests:

1.    See if the message ever shows up without the printer connected

a.    (not a printer issue if yes)

2.    See if the message shows up with some other device connected

a.    (not a printer issue if yes)

3.    See if the message shows up with the printer connected, but powered only by battery

a.    (if the message goes away after this step, this may indicate a problem)
