How do I program the date and time on my Brother machine?

When your Brother machine is idle, its LCD displays the date and time.  You will be prompted to program the date and time when you set up your machine for the first time. 

 

You may also program the date and time into your Brother machine by following these steps:

 

1. Press MENU, 0 (Initial Setup), 1 (Date&Time), 1 (Date&Time).

 

2. Use the Brother machine's dial pad to enter the last two digits of the current year.

 

3. Press the OK key.

 

4. Use the Brother machine's dial pad to enter the two digits of the current month.

 

- For example, enter 09 for September or 10 for October.

 

5. Press the OK key.

 

6. Use the Brother machine's dial pad to enter the two digits of the current day.

 

- For example, enter 09 for the 9th of the month or 10 for the 10th of the month.

 

7. Press the OK key.

 

8. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select 12h Clock or 24h Clock.

 

9. Press the OK key.

 

10. Do one of the following:

 

- If you selected 12h Clock, follow these steps:

 

a. Use the Brother machine's dial pad to enter the current time in 12-hour format.

 

b. Press the OK key.

 

c. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select AM or PM.

 

d. Press the OK key.

 

e. Go to STEP 11.

 

 

- If you selected 24h Clock, follow these steps:

 

a. Use the Brother machine's dial pad to enter the current time in 24-hour format.

 

- For example, enter 19:45 for 7:45 PM.

 

b. Press the OK key.

 

c. Go to STEP 11.

 

11. Press the STOP/EXIT key.
