I am unable to scan my ADS scanner in Macintosh OS X via Wireless connection. How can I correct this issue?

Here are the possible causes when you are unable to scan a document via wireless connection:

I.     Scanner is Power Off

 a.    Please make sure the scanner is Power On and try to scan again.

II.     Scanner IP address has been changed

a.    For ADS1000W, click HERE to perform the installation process to assign a correct IP address to the scanner.

 

b.    For ADS1500W or ADS2500W, please perform the steps below:

 

1.      Place the Brother machine within range of your WPS or AOSS access point/router.

Note: The range may differ depending on your environment. Refer to the instructions provided with your access point/router.

2.      On your Brother machine, press the tools icon.

3.      Swipe up or down, or press the Up or Down arrow and then press Network.

4.      Swipe up or down, or press the Up or Down arrow and then press WLAN.

5.      Swipe up or down, or press the Up or Down arrow and then press WPS/AOSS.

6.      When Enable WLAN? displays, press Yes to accept. This will start wireless setup wizard. To cancel, press NO.

7.      When the LCD displays Start WPS or AOSS, hold down the WPS or AOSS button on your wireless access point or router for a few seconds.

 

Note: The length holding down the button may differ depending on the WLAN access point/router. For the information on how to confirm if the WLAN access point/router is ready for use, refer to the instructions provided with your access point/router.

8.      Press OK and your machine will now automatically detect which mode WPS or AOSS your wireless access point or router uses and try to connect to your wireless network.

9.      A connection result message appears until OK is pressed on the LCD.

10.    Go to http://www.brother-usa.com/Support

11.    Enter the model and then click Search button OR select Category, Model, and then click GO.

12.    Under Downloads and Drivers tab, click Downloads on Our Online Solution

Center.

13.  Under Downloads tab, select your Operating System version, click Search.

14.  Under Downloads tab, Under Select OS, select your Operating System, and then   

click on the Search button.

15.  Under Scanner Driver, click Download & Information. The screen changes supply   the software version; update history, and download installation info.

16.  Click on the Download button, read the License Agreement, click I Accept.

17.  After the download is completed, click Downloads icon, and then click brx#####.dmg to create a setup file name as BrotherScannerDrivers.pkg.

18.  Double click on BrotherScannerDrivers.pkg to proceed with the driver's installation and then follow the default prompt screens until the driver installation is completed.

19. Click Go menu from the Desktop => Applications folder => System Preferences => Print & Scan

20. The Brother ADS-XXXXX machine should be listed in the Print & Scan window.

Note: If its not listed here, click + sign, select the Brother ADS scanner from Default tab, and then click Add button.

 

21. Click Brother ADS-XXXXX, Open Scanner, Scanner window below appears, insert a document into scanner feeder and then click Scan button.

22. Once you confirmed the scanner driver is working properly. You may use the ADS scanner with other scanner applications.
