The display on the machine shows "Replace Drum" or the status monitor displays "Replace Drum" after installing a new drum unit. What can I do?

If you just installed a replacement drum and the message “Replace Drum” never cleared or the status monitor NEVER stopped displaying the message REPLACE DRUM, do the following to verify the drum counter was reset:

1. Open the front cover and remove the drum and toner unit.

2. Reinstall the drum and toner unit back into the machine.  DO NOT close the front cover.

3. Press the CLEAR key.  To confirm you are installing a new drum unit, press 1 for YES.

4. When the display reads “Accepted”, close the front cover. 

5. Confirm the drum LED is now off.

- If the message continues to appear, repeat STEPS 1-5 to confirm the drum counter was reset properly.

- If the message continues to appear after repeating Steps 1 – 5 and your machine is within warranty, you can locate a Brother Authorized Service Center (ASC) in your area by clicking on the link below: or contact Brother Customer Service by calling 1-877-Brother (1-877-276-8437) Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. 

If your machine is out of warranty, you can locate a Brother Authorized Service Center using the information listed above.
