I have horizontal or vertical lines in my print what can I do?

Print quality is often affected by the cleanliness of the platen roller.  If you have print quality issues you may clean your printer by:

1. Ensure that the printer is turned on and there is no paper loaded in the printer


2. Insert the cleaning sheet into the paper input slot.  The text "CLEANING SHEET" should be upright and face the front of the printer.  The roller will pull the cleaning sheet into the starting position.


NOTE: If you do not have a cleaning sheet you may purchase a cleaning sheet part number LBA813001 by calling Brother Mobile Solutions at 1-800-543-6144.



3. Remove the backing paper on the upper half of the cleaning sheet, please see below.



NOTE: Do not remove the backing paper from the lower half of the cleaning sheet.


4. Press and hold the FEED button for more than two seconds.  The printer will feed and eject the cleaning sheet.


NOTE: The cleaning sheet and the above procedure are the only recommended way to clean the Platen roller.  The cleaning sheet should not be used to clean any other part of the printer


If the issue persists, call Brother Mobile Solutions Customer Service at 1-800-543-6144 Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm MST, excluding holidays for a Return Authorization number to send your printer in for repair.  The printer has a 1 year limited manufacturer’s warranty from the date of purchase.
