Dissapointed
May 22, 2015

This is our third Machine. The first one had a part melt and made the office smell like something was burning every time we printed. The 2nd machine which was a refurbished warranty replacement for the first never worked correctly. It jammed every time we attempted to duplex print. The third one so far is working ok, as we requested a brand new one for the warranty replacement. Long waits when trying to get technical assistance and after hours of trouble shooting the fixes would only work temporarily. Am now trying a Samsung to see if we have better luck with that. We do love our Mono-chrome HL5470 DW brother printer though.

good quality
May 18, 2015

I like Brother printers but 2 things with this one I would change. One is to make it easier to get the completed sheets out. They should come out further to make it easier. Two is to have the manual input to allow multiple sheets intead of having to hold one at a time. Besides all that, I love the printer, the ease of use and the quality. Hopefully they make these improvements in the future but I would still continue to buy if they do not.

Good copies, crummy toner usage
May 14, 2015
By officeguy
When toner is "out" you can still get good copies by removing and replacing old cartridge. When that stops working just go into settings and reset counter. Also I print all black but am still forced to replace color cartridges that feel full. at almost $100 apiece Brother must make more on toner then hardware.

Card Stock
May 12, 2015
By teetime900 from Ca.
This printer does not handle card stock or other paper much higher than 40 lb. Very poor for a printer like this and does not print items your advertising says it does.
