I have really enjoded this prints for most functions.
One of the thing that I don't like is the fact that the "Prepare New Toner Cartridge" message comes up and stays on for MONTHS before the toner is actually gone. If you change the cartridge when this message first comes on you will be only using HALF of the toner. The high price of these cartridges means that you have to use every drop on toner.
The other problem that I have found may not actaully be a printer problem as maybe a driver problem. This is the when printing a picture, I can't use the 3" by 5" photo cards. When I use the 4" by 6" cards the picture only covers about half of the card.
The last problem was that I had Nuance Paperport 14 on my system when I installed the printer. The installation program didnot check for Paperport, but just overwrote it with an old outdated copy of Paperport. The installation program needs to be updated to check for software on the computer

We got this color laser printer for my wife's real estate business.
It does great black and white copies and "OK" color copies. Speed is fine.
I was disappointed that after an easy set up, wirelessly, it "un-set" itself up and we had to go through some hassles to deal with it. Another annoyance was that it came with Paperport 12 and I already had Paperport 14 on my system, but when it set up, it didn't detect that and I ended up with a confused and conflicted system.
The cost of buying a new toner cartridge was a negative surprise.
I am a major fan of Brother products and have used them for years. I have had perhaps 5 MFC's over the years and will continue to buy, most likely.
This review is not intended to be a negative one. It's positive and I would purchase the product again and recommend it, as well. Just a few annoyances and surprises and "OK, not great" color reproduction.
