Bought three, not happy
July 16, 2014
By mocoffee
All three of these units we bought feed multiple sheets of paper printing partially on both pages. Ink is unreliable. cartridges may or may not work. I bought this because there are separate ink colors and I thought I would reduce waste. I have almost a full ream of paper wasted due to poor feeding of paper. I cannot even begin to calculate the ink waste. Calls to customer service made me jump through hoops that I had already jumped through only to receive another paper tray which is not the problem because it still miss feeds. I called back and was given a time for them to call me only to be hung up on while being transferred to someone else. This went on for days before I gave up. I am going to try to return it again and do some major yelling at rapid re-fill. YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS INSANE!!!! I doubt I will ever buy another brother again.

Faulty Printer Bad Service
April 28, 2014
By UnhappyCustomer82 from NC
I wish I could give 0 stars. We purchased this printer to use in our home, and when we inserted the brand new ink cartridges two of them didn't work. I contacted customer service and instead of trying to figure out why they aren't working, or offering to exchange them, I was told that I need to go out and buy 2 new cartridges at my own expense and if they still don't work, contact brother for a refund of the new cartridges. (No refund for the faulty cartridges since they are more than 90 days old...we purchased the printer and then moved to a new home.) Such awful service. If something goes wrong and you want help, this is not a company to do business with.

I will never know how this printer actually works because I refuse to give this company another dime of my money. BUYER BEWARE.

Worst Purchase Ever
March 24, 2014
By SKap from KATY, TEXAS.
I purchased the printer on 10 March, 2013. I only use this printer occasionally to print black and white.I never use the color printing but I got error message saying one of the color cartridges is empty and I should replace it. I discovered the black ink would not print, if one of the color cartridges is empty. After much discussion with Brother, they claim that ink is used for the cleaning of the ink tubes. So if you go weeks or months between printings most of your ink will go in cleaning and not in printing. So, even one of the colors got low and I had a document I needed to print in Black, but it won’t work and I think that's ridiculous. I should be able to print in black if there is black ink. For me this has been one of my worst purchases ever. Brother does not want to change the design or software for this printer to make it work to print B&W, even with empty color cartridge. I have a HP printer and it works fine even if the color cartridge is empty. I DO NOT recommend to my friends to buy this kind of Brother Printer. I am NOT happy at all with this printer.
