Best purchase for homeschool!
August 6, 2015
By wondermama from Bristol, TN
I am a homeschooling mom of four and killed my poor inkjet printer last year with the workload I required of it. That doesn't even include the amount of money I spent on ink cartridges! When my husband went to purchase a new printer, he decided on this one. I LOVE it! It has been fantastic for our homeschooling needs. It does everything I need and doesn't need new ink every time I turn around.

2nd printer works
August 5, 2015
By Oxbow from Arkansas
First MFC-9340 would not connect wireless in spite of much time by myself, a tech and Brother support. Office Max took it back. The replacement is a pleasure to use. 3 stars because of trouble with first printer.

Great printer so far
August 5, 2015
By jrsamples from North Salt Lake, UT
I have had the printer for a couple of months now; it does not get a lot of use at present but what I have done so far has been top notch. Scans quite nicely, able to print wirelessly or on the wired network with no problems and the output has been very satisfactory. I got the printer for a great price; the toners are a bit expensive but have not used much to date so not a real issue. Will stick with OEM toners at first unless I start using them up fast. The only gripe I would have is output tray makes it a bit hard to get the paper out as it sits further back that would be ideal, but all-in-all not a big deal. Great printer and I would definitely recommend it.

Expected More
August 4, 2015
By Manzanita from Oregon
While I like the printer, I really am not impressed with the print quality. Even on "Best" it appears to not be dark enough. This applies to both B&W and color.

I use an IMac which may or may not matter, but the scan function seems to be cumbersome in that it requires me to open the printer and select the scan function. It seems that I should be able to select scan on the printer and go.

I don't want to make this out to be a bad printer, rather that it seems to require more knowledge to use it. There may be solutions to both of my issues.
