I bought this printer because I needed to quickly print lots of material. The machine was quick to set up, and works without flaw. The replacement toner is reasonable ... and the machine inexpensive ... I've very happy with this printer

I am very pleased with my HL-2240. I run Ubuntu Linux at home for the most part, so I get a little nervous trying new equipment. My worry was needless, Ubuntu 10 immediately recognized it and installed the correct driver. When I upgraded to Ubuntu 11, it continued to function. I am very pleased with it, decent speed and excellent print quality. I am quite pleased with my purchase, I feel that I got quite a bang for my buck. I not only would recommend this printer to a friend, I already have recommended it to several.

This was a really good printer for the price! I picked it up for cheap. Works great! only issue is it is a little noisy and the fan stays on for about 5 minutes after printing. But if you want a printer for leess than the cost of an ink jet cartridge this is it.

I bought this machine to use in conjunction with my ink jet printer. It is now my primary printer for B&W. I generally use the ink saver mode. I bought the 450 ink cartridge a few months ago which I am still using. Absolutely no complaints with this printer.
