Love that the toner cartridge and drum are separate purchases. Auto duplex printing works perfectly and is a brilliant option. Have connected the printer to my router with an ethernet cable rather than use wireless. Works fine from all pcs on the network. Have not been able to get scan to work properly from the printer side but it works fine when initiated from the pc (which is how I normally do it anyway). Toner low warning comes on very early in the life of the toner cartridge; not a problem but mildly annoying.

Found the 2280DW to make good copies and really nice color scans. The only problem was an update was needed in order for the scan to folder function to work in Windows 8. Since Brother couldn't tell me for sure that an update would be done, or when, I opted to return the printer in exchange for a Windows 8 friendly laser printer.

Am very pleased with this printer. I wanted a laser printer to replace a (cranky) older inkjet and it does nice black/white print jobs very fast with good quality. Am not using the wireless feature. Will be trying the duplex mode soon.

This is the second Brother laser I've owned. The first has been used for over 5 years without an issue. I wanted more versatility and only thought Brother. This printer is great! It prints, copies, does duplex and wifi without a hitch. I highly recommend it for home use.
I have recommended this printer to others.
