It works great. I havent had any problems with it so far. I don't use it too much so I don't know about any supply costs. It does print very fast from one page to the next.

I love the printer. This is my first laser, and I am very pleased with it.
The scanner is adequate but not versatile; it only does full scans (no preview) so it is very slow, and the options and tools are scant.
The third-party software that comes with it seemed very invasive to my system and I did not like it very much, and I wound up uninstalling it.
In sum, I give the printer 5 stars and the scanner 3 stars and the extra software 2 stars at best. I would have given 4 stars overall if the extra software had not been presented as an integral part of the installation.
