    Looks can be deceiving
This little machine can do so much more than it appears at first glance. As a result there is an extensive learning curve due to the variety of mediums it can cut. My one complaint is the lack of conformity in the blade and blade housing which are not covered under the warranty. My dealer called Brither and was told to purchase new because some housings were warped on the inside causing the blades to break. Some blades are longer than others resulting in an inconsistency in blade depth settings. ... read more Otherwise, I love my machine.

    Brother scanNcut best purchases..EVER
I recently purchased the scanNcut because I like appliqué but have been finding cutting a lot of pieces to be causing my hands to ache. I recently completed a quilt of flowers and ivy, it was so slick and easy using the scanNcut. I was able to use the built in designs for my leaves-AMAZING!!!

    great purchase
However I'm still learning how to cut. I purchased it mostly to cut fabric shapes that I can scan. I've tried to get the scan n cut canvas people to recognize me but they don't like any email or password I've given them and they will not contact me. I'm a retail fabric store and would like to sell these when I get successful at cutting fabric.

    Good purchase
This was one of the best purchases I have every made. This is just what was needed at the school my granddaughter attends to save time on cutting out paper items for the display board and for the students to use.

very very good but could use some updates
I brought this one because of the scan n cut and able to do rhinestones witch it does wonderfully the softwear is easy to use. the only down side is that the Mats, blades are very expensive and so are the accessories and every store were you are supposed to fine them they do not have . In all the machine doeswhat it is supposed to do but very expensive to use blades do not last long and at $18:00 apiece

Really glad I purchased the Scan n' Cut 2
I really loved the features of being able to draw or trace just about anything, then scan and cut the image. I still need a little practice, but am sure I will get there with all the support videos available on line. I was able to make a wall hanging for my family reunion by using the applique method of cutting out the leaves. The picture shows only a few of them. I really have a lot of family. Using the Scan N' Cut really saved me time on having to cut each leaf individual.

Best addition to my sewing room!
ScanNCut is easy to use right out of the box. It cuts clean sharp edges for applique designs! The paper and vinyl accessories are of great quality. I especially enjoy using included shapes and letters on my ScanNCut

    Limitless Possibilities!
While I have only just started "playing" with this wonderful ScanNCut 550, I can imagine the possibilities in many applications. It cuts well and I love the fact that when I resize a built in pattern it will adjust each piece of the pattern's elements at the same time. Also being able to do one measurement at a time in some cases is valuable also. Being able to apply a new tacky spray to the mats is very helpful after using it for several projects. Love this machine!
