    A dream come true
Finally got a Scan N Cut after eyeing it for over a year. Love it. Have not cut fabric with it yet, but intend to use it to cut applique patterns for my machine embroidery. Did use it to make some Christmas gifts using vinyl and card stock for ornaments. I knew I would love it when I first saw it. Being able to scan the material into the background to see where to cut your design let's you use up every bit of the paper/fabric.

    Relighting the creative fire.
I have only used the designs included but have enjoyed cutting paper and fabric. I had 2 friends over to play with it the first day and they were both as if not more excited to use it than me. One is ready to buy. Wish there was a 'free' beginners class.

    Truely enjoying it
Well I didn't really need this, but after watching every demonstration for the last 2 years at the quilt conventions I just had to have it, and I am having a Blast! I do a lot of quilting and the scan n cut does a great job. The on screen menu's are easy to use (once I watched a couple of video's by Julie Fei-Fan Balzer). I love the precise cutting. I will admit it was more useful cutting multiples (blue river). Using it to cut the applique was a bit more challenging but I am learning....I ... read more consider it a very useful tool for my sewing room.

    Great Purchase
I was looking for a machine to help cut my quilting fabric and found the CM550DX ScanNCut machine. I went ahead and bought it. It was the greatest purchase I made. I loved the fact that you can cut perfect Quilting squares, Triangles or whatever shape you need to quilt with. I went ahead and purchased the 12 x 24 inch matte and am now able to cut larger quantities and sizes of fabric quilt blocks/patterns needed. Greatest Purchase in my quilting hobby.

Great product... A lot of learning
I love my scanncut, when I got it I tried it out then put it back in the box for a year. I recently discovered a great software that takes the mystery out of using this with all the various materials. It now sits in my studio table and gets used regularly, but there is a learning curve.

very very good but could use some updates
I brought this one because of the scan n cut and able to do rhinestones witch it does wonderfully the softwear is easy to use. the only down side is that the Mats, blades are very expensive and so are the accessories and every store were you are supposed to fine them they do not have . In all the machine doeswhat it is supposed to do but very expensive to use blades do not last long and at $18:00 apiece

Great addition to a sewing/quilting studio
Even though I have two other cutting systems, the Scan-N-Cut has been a great addition to my sewing/quilting studio. I was surprised at how easy it is to scan my personal designs into the scanner to obtain professional and precision cuts on fabric for appliquéing. In no time, I had scanned the pattern pieces from Margie Ullery-Payson's "Spring Skinnie" quilt featured in Quilltmaker March 2013 magazine to create my version of this fun quilt. Thanks "Brother...at your side" for an awesome product!
