    SB3129 Review
This machine has a great LED light. It is fairly hefty, so I assume it is mostly metal inside. It has has a good variety of stitches, an automatic thread cutter and a needle threader. I wanted this machine for piecing quilts, doing thread painting and some general alteration work. It seems to vibrate a little while going full out. I think it is a good value.

    Amazing value
Reasons I bought this: 1) wonderful automatic threader, 2) large table surface as well as free arm or medium sewing area. 3) decent sized harp area, easy top threading, 4) LED light over stitching area, 5) half the price of a basic European model. Things I discovered after I bought it: A) wonderfully quiet, B) includes walking foot, C) snap on other feet, D) nice hard plastic cover makes carrying easy, E) slot in main foot lines up exactly with sewing line, F) it has a gazillion stitches and ... read more several alphabets (challenging my expensive Swiss machine), G) most used stitches available with one touch, H) includes button SEWING stitch as well as many buttonhole stitches, I) you can create your own stitch patterns (hunh?) , and the list keeps getting longer.

    Great Machine
I've only had my machine since 05/13/22015. But I can't say enough good things about this machine. I'm still learning all it's features. Having unlimited lessons is very helpful since there is no way you could learn or remember what this machine is capable of doing. I've been very lucky to have one on one lessons. If you could afford this beautiful machine get it , you will have no regrets.

    The Best Machine Ever!
I've owned many Brother sewing/embroidery machines, beginning with the ULT2001. Each time I've upgraded my machine, I've thought "this one is the best ever." And when I bought my Quattro, I was sure Brother couldn't improve on this one! But, I was wrong! The Dream Machine is the ultimate! I've scanned logos with great success, but I'm still learning all the things this wonderful machine can do. It is the quietest of all the machines I've owned and I love the embroidery and sewing equally! I kept ... read more my Quattro because I love it so much...So now I'm the proud owner of The Dream Machine, Quattro and Entrepreneur Pro 10-needle! Needless to say, I love Brother products!

    SB7900E is fantastic
This is my first embroidery machine--bought it at Northwest Sewing Center in Austin Texas. EASY to use, FUN to use. The store where I bought it was super helpful in guiding me to the right machine for me. I knew I wanted a Brother because I have a Brother serger and it is easy and reliable. I love Brother products.

    A Very Nice Embroidery Machine
I have the Brother Simplicity SB7900E. It is an embroidery only machine. I’ve had it 5 months and have used it a few times a week. I upgraded from the Brother SE400 because I wanted a larger hoop, and I wanted to be able to use designs that I have saved to a USB jump drive and not have to hook up my computer to the machine (like you do with the SE400). I compared the P770, DZ820E and the SB7900E. I was going to buy one online but went to a local quilt shop/Brother dealer to see the machines in ... read more person. They only had the SB7900E. The price was similar to the other machines but came with the BES lettering software (they say a $400 value). There were also a few other options that made this one the better machine and I liked that I could buy it locally and take classes there. Note that the Brother website overview of the 7900E does not show that it has a USB port if you are comparing machines, but it does. You create your own designs and monograms in the BES and put them on a USB drive and then upload them to the machine to stitch out. Because I had owned the SE400, I was able to pull this one out of the box and use it immediately. It’s pretty easy to use. I put the BES software onto my laptop and was able to use that also. It’s similar to any windows program. It works fine on windows 8, though it’s an older version of the program. I did take a class on the software to learn all those little things that make it easier to use. I have no complaints about the machine. It has nice quality stitching. You need to use quality thread, not $1 spool discount stuff. I’m using Madeira as that is what was sold and used at the shop where I bought it. I didn’t like the #90 bobbin thread that came with the machine and switched to the #60 that came with my SE400. The machine seemed to like it better. I haven’t had to touch the tension settings. It’s still set as it came out of the box and working fine. The auto needle threader is fantastic. Really speeds up thread changes. You can fill the bobbins on the machine, then just drop one in the bobbin case and run thread through one channel and it’s done. It comes with the 5x7” hoop, and I bought a 4x4” hoop to use with smaller pieces of fabric. I was hoping I could use my SE400 hoops on this one but they have a different connector. The 7900E has a metal tab that you have to push to the left as you drop on the hoop. It takes a little practice, but once you get it, the hoop slides right on (drop the front on first, then the back just drops right in and you let go of the tab). The machine comes with 136 embroidery designs on it. I’ve only used 1 of them so far, but it stitched out nicely. I bought a few designs online and they stitched out nicely also. It comes with 6 fonts, but I’ve mostly used the fonts that come in the BES program, creating my words/designs/monograms and then uploading onto the machine from the USB. The program has over 150 fonts in it. I’m very happy with this machine.

    Blown Away
I originally decided to purchase a sewing machine because i was tired of having a friend always sew something for me. This machine meets and exceeds all my expectations. It is very easy to use and runs smooth.

    Good purchase
The machine is simple to use. A great sewing machine to take to quilting classes.

    Great Personal Embroidery Machine
Right out of the box everything works. A+ As you get competent you will encounter limitations as your imagination exceeds the plug and play of the device. Towels, napkins, gift bags, pillow cases, gift tags, coasters all projects that can easily be completed with the PE770. Accessories and supplies are a money pit, but really, what are you going to do with your life? Would I purchase again. Absolutely!

    Super Embroidery Machine
I have had my PE770 for over a month now and I could not be happier. It is easy to learn and operate. The instruction book is well written and easy to follow. It was so easy to start embroidering right out of the box. I do wish that the screen was a little larger so the design could be seen easier. Although touted as a beginner machine, I believe that this machine will serve me for a long time.
