Low Cost, High Qualiity, Easy to Use
A huge step up from the WWII vintage Singer I learned on! Recently took up sewing, again, so took a beginning class. By the end of the class, there were three of these machines in class!
Filling bobbins is quick and easy after watching the video and the diagrams on the machine provide adequate reference so I don't have to rewatch the videos.
Likewise, threading the top side thread is quick and easy and the automatic needle threader makes for quick setup when changing colors.

the bobbin automatically routes the thread to the correct position to start sewing. No more manually fishing the thread out before you can start.
I've tried about a dozen stitches and all have been beautiful on a number of different fabrics. The lettering is okay, but not great, but for a $200 machine, this machine performs exceptionally well.
Overall, for someone who is just getting started, this machine is easy to use, produces good results, and is pretty forgiving.
For someone who is more advanced, it has capabilities that will keep you from getting bored any time in the near future.
